Hoping to spend a little more time at the Indianapolis Zoo this summer? Here’s your chance. During Animals and All That Jazz visitors can see Zoo animals on exhibit until 7 p.m., while the concerts run from 5:30 to 8:30pm. You can also grab a bite to eat, find a seat outside the Café on the Commons and enjoy dinner as you listen to the brassy sounds of a new band every week

Meet the Indianapolis Zoo mascots at Animals and All That Jazz.
This summer’s lineup includes:
July29 – Goldie & Exquisitely Yours
August 5 – Cool Chilies
August 12 – Heather and Blair.
August 19 – The Michael Houston Group
Animals and All That Jazz has something to offer every Zoo guest! Each week a different ride will be featured and members can ride free of charge until 7 p.m! Guests can meet mascots, zookeepers and small animals while hanging around Café on the Commons and enjoying the live jazz; tour booths to win prizes from local jazz organizations; take advantage of the Family Activity Zone presented by Community Health Network and Kroger Splash Park located directly across from the stage (open until 7 p.m.).
And don’t forget about dinner! Café on the Commons will be offering Zoo favorites such as hot dogs, hamburgers and nachos, while guests wanting something a little more can choose from three specialty buffets plus a cash bar. These buffets looked very tasty when we were there. (As with any Zoo visit, visitors are asked to refrain from bringing personal food and drinks.)
Animals and All That Jazz concerts are great opportunities to visit the Zoo. You can take your time viewing the animals until 7 p.m. There’s extra time to take in the Splash Park, too. Be sure to pack a change of clothes for your kids so they can be dry while enjoying the festivities.
Seating is open, and guests are welcome to bring folding chairs or gather around the Zoo’s picnic tables. This is a good idea unless your are able to snag a seat early. The concert viewing area fills up quickly. In the case of bad weather, concerts will be moved under the Zoo’s Party Pavilion. Animals and All That Jazz is included with regular Zoo admission, and visitors who bring an empty gallon jug of Dean’s Milk can receive $2 off admission after 4 p.m! If family travel brings you to the Indianapolis area, Animals and All That Jazz is the perfect opportunity to get a little more time and entertainment out of your Indianapolis Zoo visit.
