Although winter is around the corner here in Indiana, I was looking around the house at projects that I could do next year. One of the things that I noticed was that the patio was hardly used this year. The main reason was because it was so hot out there. So, what I am thinking about doing is adding some lattice patio covers to protect to cut down on the heat and improve it so the family can have some fun out there next year.
It seems like a waste to have such a good outdoor area and never use it. I bet alot of people have decks and patios though don’t use. I think if alot of people covered them or enclosed them, that they would use them alot more. It would also protect the kids from the sun. Friends of ours have enclosed their patio and it is really comfortable. They have the advantage of being sheltered from the sun already because of a bunch of trees that surround their house. If you don’t have that, it certainly makes it harder to feel like going out there sweating it out.
I’d like to spend more time on my patio next year. We’ll see maybe we can make it better for the whole family.
